On November 4th of 2019 we did athletics and here's how you can do long jump

                Long jump

Yesterday on 4.11.19 we did athletics at Taipa area School. I’m gonna teach you how to do a
long jump because it’s my favorite sport.

First, in the long jump you need to get a long distance from the pit of sand you are gonna
jump in,

Second, you need to run as fast as you can to get a good speed to jump far.

Third, once you’re on the mat/wood you need to jump high and far and swing your arms and
bend forward because if you fall back you will not get the score, so try to go forward as
much as possible.

Fourth, once you have done your jump walk to the left or right of the sandpit and walk to
the back of the line.

If you make it in the finals do the same thing but make sure you put effort into it.

What mat?
The mat that you step on while you’re running and you
jump as far as possible
What color is the pit of sand?Red?Green?Purple?
It’s a yellowish color.

Switzer Home Visit

Hello, I’m Mia Strong. On Thursday 19.9.19 I went to a Switzer home visit to read and ask questions to residents of the Switzer home. Lots of them were very friendly but when I got there I was a bit nervous because I didn’t really know who to introduce myself to and how to introduce what I’m doing.

So, with the first resident, I questioned and read to, it was a bit awkward. But over time I got better. I made two t-shirts out of paper and gave them to two residents and they really liked it. One resident called Georgina told me a lot about her childhood and how she really misses her grandfather.
One called Meg told me about how she had ten siblings, and another resident, (I don't remember her name) she was a bit deaf but she told me that she used to do lots of chores and she was popular at school. It was a fun experience but to be honest, it was a bit boring and I might do it again but not so soon.

One thing I really enjoyed was just listening to the resident's past life and seeing how it was in the olden days.
